Ares Visual-Cognitive Drills

Eccentric Circles
Eccentric Circles are a free-space fusion vision drill using side-by-side circle targets. The user fuses matching circles to create a single “middle” circle (crossed and uncrossed), training convergence/divergence ranges, binocular fusion, and suppression control.
-
Pyramid Drill
A saccadic eye-movement exercise using a triangular (pyramid) array of targets. Start at the apex, then zig-zag left–right across each row while descending to the base. Trains saccadic speed/accuracy, fixation stability, sequencing, and oculomotor endurance (often timed with error counts).
-
Perseus (Infinity) Drill
An oculomotor exercise where the athlete tracks (or traces) a target moving in a horizontal ∞ path, repeatedly crossing the midline. Trains smooth pursuits, saccade-pursuit transitions, fixation stability, and accommodation/vergence coordination (often with near-far variations).
-
Simple Reaction Time
Simple Reaction Time (SRT) is the elapsed interval between the presentation of a single, known stimulus and the initiation of a pre-specified response. In other words, you know in advance exactly how to react, so the only “decision” is when to move.

Styx Drill
A saccadic eye-movement exercise using two horizontal columns (letters left, numbers right). Start at the top and zig-zag L↔R between matching positions while descending. Trains saccadic speed/accuracy, sequencing, fixation stability, and binocular coordination; typically scored by time and errors.
